Sony FE 50mm F1.2 G Master The Sony FE 50mm F1.2 G Master is the thirteenth lens in the company’s series of premium optics and the eight prime. It’s also the fastest lens in the series with its ƒ/1.2 maximum aperture. The lens features a new 11-blade circular diaphragm to produce exceptional defocusing “bokeh” when shooting at large apertures. It has a minimum focusing distance of 1.32 feet and includes four XD linear autofocus motors for fast, quiet AF, especially helpful when shooting video with focus tracking. Like other G Master lenses, the Sony FE 50mm F1.2 G Master incorporates robust weather sealing. The FE 50mm F1.2 G Master will be available in May with a list price of $2,000.
